Well, I’m back! Not from the dead, or with a vengeance, just back in Toronto after a wonderful summer residency in Dublin, Ireland and a joyful trip to the east coast of Canada with some of my dearest friends. I’ll post about the residency soon but for now here is a small watercolour I painted yesterday. I’ve spent the past week re-organizing my studio, adding new furniture, etc. and after a few days of that I had to take a break and make something. Phew! That’s better.
My shop is open again. I hope to have some updated items on there soon.
Birthday drawing for one of my favourite humans
50 blocks of Shina plywood just arrived in my studio…. MAJOR NEEEEEW PROJECT!
On my way to Chicago to eat some CAKE! I’ll have a few things at the table of my super talented pal, Georgia Webber (table 88B). I’ll have a few comics on hand, including Let Go, my latest linocut comic that debuted at TCAF. EXCITED!!!!
Here is a preview of some of the images from my newest linocut comic, Let Go, debuting at TCAF this weekend! It’s about learning to let go of old love after it leaves you behind and not clinging to the past.
I will have copies of the comic as well as the original linocut prints available for sale. I will also have copies of Boom Boom Boom, the erotic artist book I produced last year, as well as a few other publications.
You can find me at table 177 with George Walker and Steve McCabe. We are all published by the Porcupine’s Quill and will have several books from their woodcut novel series on hand.

Hope to see you there!!
Lino blocks for my comic LET GO, debuting at TCAF next week. So pumped!
Can we talk about how much productivity is achieved through mind games played with yourself? I’m working on a new linocut comic for TCAF and I decided that putting 6 images on each lino block would make me my work easier - because cutting four pieces of lino is easier than cutting twenty, right? It’s totally working.
not sure why it took me 7 months to post this. but hey, thanks to spx and all of the artists who were willing to spend their time doing this. they were all super nice. before i knew it my sketchbook was getting passed around to a lot of talented people, some i just met and some i’ve admired for a long time. thx doodz. and i guess it should also be noted that matt, todd and i didn’t exhibit at Small Press Expo, just attended.
I contributed a panel to this back at SPX many many months ago! Mine’s the one where the bear’s commenting on the bark!
Ink on paper, 2014.
Two shows down and two more to go! Here’s the image from the cover of my new zine, issue number 4 in my poetry zine series. I figure I may as well name it since I’m at #4 so from here on in, the zine will be called Spectacle. Still not going to put the name on the cover though, since I’m a weirdo.
More pictures to come and available on my shop soon!
Ink & Watercolour, March 2014
I haven’t posted much lately because I’ve been working my buns off preparing for these upcoming shows:
I will be debuting a new issue of my illustrated poetry zine(issue 4!) at Buffalo & Kazoo and a risograph mini-comic at TCAF. It’s going to be a crazy springtime but the fun and satisfaction is always worth it! I also can’t wait to talk to folks and meet up with zine and comic pals!!!
