My first woodcuts! I made these a few months ago for a new wordless comic. It will be featured in the upcoming Canadian comics anthology, Chilly Tales, from 11th Dimension Press along with work by some really wonderful artists. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together!
I had become frustrated with linocut for a few reasons and was really curious whether woodcut would be the solution to my problems. I don’t know if it is a solution, more like a different set of challenges and limitations, but I am still excited to be exploring the possibilities of this medium!

Well, I’m back! Not from the dead, or with a vengeance, just back in Toronto after a wonderful summer residency in Dublin, Ireland and a joyful trip to the east coast of Canada with some of my dearest friends. I’ll post about the residency soon but for now here is a small watercolour I painted yesterday. I’ve spent the past week re-organizing my studio, adding new furniture, etc. and after a few days of that I had to take a break and make something. Phew! That’s better.
My shop is open again. I hope to have some updated items on there soon.
